First major solo exhibition 2009  

Mark's first exhibition of 2009 'Drawn to Pencil', held at the Yard Gallery, Wollaton Hall and Park in Nottingham.

Originals, prints and cards will be for sale. The exhibition will also demonstrate work in progress with photographs, sketches and notes lending an insight into his individual process of working.

'Drawn to Pencil'
will run for 6 weeks from 22nd January to 8th March.

'Meet the Artist' will be held
2.00pm - 4.00pm, Saturday 24th January.

 

 
  Air Ambulance charitable donation  

'Corky's', a Goldiggers event in aid of Derbyshire Air Ambulance and Derby Breast Unit took place on Saturday 30th August.

 

Mark donated 2 Giclée prints ('Chatsworth Oak' and 'Contemplation'), to the grand raffle and prize draw for the benefit of the charities.

 
  Work in progress and forthcoming pieces  

The second commission for Stephen Hoy of Huddersfield Railway Station will be completed by February. A Wild Boar and illustration of a Oak timber framed building for early next year for one client. A study of a work premises is going ahead after Christmas.

For clients leading to Christmas I am producing two more cat portraits and an Arab cantering through a meadow, up to now.

Two more entries for next year's SEA are planned for July.

Various architectural details and more animal studies are going to be drawn for print reproduction and print sales in 2009.
