I have a BTEC in design, illustration and photography, I then went on to study for a HND at which point I specialised in illustration.

As with fine art, illustration has many styles, illustration is merely the term used for art work produced with a commercial purpose. Like fine art there are a large variety of styles either loose and expressive through to more realistic work.

I like to keep my work humorous, but also a bit dark. However while at college I did not become set in one style and took the opportunity to experiment and be as creative as possible. I had a very good illustration tutor in Sheffield called Lynne Chapman, I owe a lot to her teachings.

Elevator operator
P. Cornelius Alligator,
when his passengers were
many, never ever
passed up any:
when his passengers
were few, always
managed to make do.
When they told
him: "Mister'
Gator! quickly in
your elevator
take us
to the
nineteenth
floor!"
they were
never seen
no more.
